Partner Subscriptions provide an opportunity for individuals who wish to participate with the Fire Warden's Association and receive information, to do so. The Montana County Fire Warden's Association strives to be a cost neutral association and use our finances smartly. We are utilizing an Association Management Software platform to reduce the over head for the board and provide better communication for our members and partners. As this does have a fiscal cost, we are asking our partners to help support the associations costs for this level of communication. The $10.00 is not required to obtain a subscription, simply ignore the invoice.

What is MCFWA?

MCFWA is a non profit association representing Montana County Fire Wardens and other local government wildland firefighters within Montana. The association works closely with the Montana DNRC to support local government wildfire support and response. The Association also represents local government on the Northern Rockies Coordinating Group.

What does the Association do?

MCFWA is an active representative of the counties in:

Northern Rockies Coordinating Group
- Northern Rockies Multi Agency Coordination (MAC) Group during busy fire activity.
Montana Wildland Fire Committee
Montana Legislature
Coordination with the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation

MCFWA supports the development of county level fire capacity through:

Wildfire Leadership Conference
Subsidizing wildland fire training courses
Providing cadre for Northern Rockies Training Center

Supports timely and broad distribution of wildland fire information.

What are dues used for?

Travel costs for:
- Northern Rockies Coordinating Group - Two week long meetings annually
- Northern Rockies MAC Group - Approximately 60 days in 2021 (not all in person)
- Governor's Annual Fire Briefing
- Legislative Activities
- - Legislative Meet and Greet
  - Montana Fire Alliance Dues ~3,000 annually
  - Testimony on bills
  - Testimony on budgets
Fire Warden's Training Grant - Association pays the 90% of eligible costs (County must be a member)
Association Operating Costs
- Association Management Software
- Legal fees for filing and reporting requirements
